Statistics show a sharp decline in church attendance among the younger generation, with many university students identifying as having "no religion." There is a desperate need for a "Second Evangelisation" of the UK—one centered on rigorous inductive Bible study and personal discipleship to help Gen Z navigate a profound crisis of identity and purpose.
The UK remains a global melting pot. With London acting as a financial and cultural capital, the country hosts a massive international diaspora. This provides a strategic platform: reaching a student in London or Manchester can often mean reaching their home nation in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East. About the UK University Bible Fellowship (UBF)
UBF ministry in the UK began in the 1980s, established by pioneering lay missionaries who settled in London to serve UCL. Over the decades, chapters have expanded to key academic hubs.
The ministry is defined by a "tentmaking" model, where missionaries serve as medical professionals, researchers, and IT specialists while dedicating their lives to 1:1 Bible study. Current efforts focused on young people for intensive spiritual training and community service.
